Internet

It was only one thing that went wrong during today's video recording: the internet connection went down for some mysterious reason, so blogging went straight out the window. The good news is, we still took a lot of pics and recorded a few video clips, so we'll throw em' up here during the next few days.

For starters, here's a couple of pics from the Epiphone-party we went to friday night. It was a blast from start to finish, and we got a lot of free alcohol that made us extra friendly.

Stockholm - Friday

Hello everyone,

This morning has been slow due to several reasons: a way too early wake-up call, cold weather, and a few too many beers yesterday. We did however manage to get back to the video location, and we've been loading off our backline(amps, guitars, drums, etc.) for the shoot.

We're gonna get things up and running here first, and then we're heading down town to do some shopping. We've also been invited to an Epiphone party held @ Medborgarplatsen tonight, and we'll probably stop by @ Crazy Nights, the rock club at Harry B James, to say hello to our friends Nixx Strip and Dave Laroxx, later tonight.

Everything is going as planned so far, and we're getting more and more psyched for the shoot tomorrow.

KINHEADS!!

We did a photo shoot last weekend. Photos were taken for both our new website and the upcoming single.
Due to total handsomeness and an overload of sex-appeal we were able to wrap things up in a couple of hours. Big thanks to Henrik Hedlund and Lina Jansson for great photos and make up!

We're currently working on ideas for a music video that is to be recorded before the single release. More updates on that will follow!

Pub Anchor + Studio update

Allright, we got some news for you. First off, we'd like to invite ya'll to Pub Anchor, wednesday 13th of August. We're gonna play at Club Riot Act with the fabulous foursome Wacky Wamps(www.myspace.com/wackyvamps), and as always, it'll be a BASH!

We're also happy to inform you that the recording for our forthcoming album is now finished. Now we're sitting like anxious kids waiting for our producer to get back from his vacation so he can start mixing this monster. We'll get back to you on release dates and other info concerning the album, as soon as we'll know more.

It's official. The recording contract has been signed. Here's Edwin and Elias signing the deal. Good stuff, huh?

Swedish Sleaze All-stars

Mama Kin and especially Ward contributes to the Swedish Sleaze All-star tribute to Kiss, on the recording of the Kiss hit 'Crazy, Crazy Nights'.

Swedish rock club 'Crazy Nights' has gained huge popularity in Stockholm, winning awards for the best club in town, as well as filling the bar Harry B James night after night. The two DJ's Nixx Strip and Dave LaRoxx, together with producer Chris Laney, has put together some of Sweden's biggest sleaze acts, including Crash Diet, Babylon Bombs, Gemini Five, Swedish Erotica and many more, in a recording of the Kiss hit 'Crazy, Crazy Nights', as a celebration of the club. Mama Kin was invited and added to the roster, and lead singer Ward lays down the famous opening lyrics: "People try to take my soul away, but I don't hear the rap that they all say".

Worth mentioning also, is that former lead guitarist of Kiss, Bruce Kulick, contributes to the song with a guitar solo.

Mama Kin on TV

It is now confirmed that Mama Kin will do an acoustic performance on the Swedish television program "Eftersnack", SVT2, Wednesday April 9th, 22.25. More info will follow.

We will also play a gig at Ritz, Arvika, April 26th. We will post more info about this gig as well when we know what time we'll hit the stage, and what it'll cost.

Back from the photoshoot

Saturday night was a busy night for us, as we were doing a photosession at Clarion Hotel, Stockholm, for the forthcoming album. Everything went smooth and all, but we were tired as hell when we were finished at 5 in the morning. We had the pleasure to work with really nice, creative ppl such as Henrik Hedlund(photographer), Tomas Håkansson(lighting) and Lina Jansson(Make-up), big thanks goes out to these guys & gals.

Right now, I'm in the studio listening to Elias as he lay down some quire stuff on Superman. Everything feels really good and we know this album is really gonna blow your mind. Can't wait to get it out, but these things takes time, and that's just the way it goes I guess.

Recording the Album

No! MAMAKIN´s not dead, nor have they laid down their instruments for others to wield. The recording of what shall be the greatest of albums since the dawn of time is still in progress. Pictures will be uploaded like tomorrow or so.

As you might notice we´ve chosen to use this blog-kind-of-interaction-method until we get hold of the new website. Hope that´ll suit ya all....the updates will be more frequent for shure. cheerz//Elias
